Pressure Group in Kalabari Kingdom, Kengema Unity Forum says it has
accepted the reasons for the voluntary withdrawal of its leader
Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich from the Peoples Democratic Party
chairmanship race in Asari-Toru local government area ahead of the June
16th local government elections in the state for the overall interest of
ASALGA and the PDP.
In a four
points communique issued after an extraordinary meeting held at the
instance of the leader of the group, Sobomabo Jackrich popularly known
as Egberi Papa at Usokun, Degema Wednesday, the KUF said it
wholeheartedly accepted the advise of its leader to accept the decision
of the party, and work with the elected candidate of the party, Odiari
Princewill, to ensure resounding victory in the June 16th council polls
for the peace, Unity and progress of Asari-Toru local government area.
The
group in the communique jointly signed by its leader, Sobomabo
Jackrich, KUF Director of Operations, Onari Awo Tariah, and KUF National
Secretary, Dabo Ikiriko, further reiterated its resolve to work
tirelessly to ensure the re-election of Governor Nyesom Wike in the 2019
governorship election in order to consolidate on his transformational
agenda for the people of Rivers State.
The
KUF equally reaffirmed its continued total support and loyalty for the
Peoples' Democratic party, which it noted was the only platform to
liberate Nigerians from its present hardship and poverty under the APC
led federal government.
